Do You Want to Succeed In Marketing? Ten Things You Must Do.

The ten reasons people succeed have nothing to do with internet marketing, they are character traits and they have been described in detail by Dr. Phil, Oprah's mentor. You will find him at DrPhil.com.

There is a certain mindset that has to be cultivated to ensure success. Dr. Phil's years of study and his observations of people has shown him which qualities are necessary. Once you have created the right mindset, then you will succeed, not only in marketing, but in any area that you choose.

1. Goals. Successful marketeers have a goal , a vision that they can see, feel and experience long before it comes to fruition. They write down their goals and their visions so that they have them in a concrete form rather than just daydreams.

2. Strategy - People who consistently win have a clear and thoughtful strategy. They know where the finish line is and because they have written down their strategy they know what they need to do and when they need to do it to get there. They are able to avoid any actions that don't get them closer to their goal.

3. Successful Marketers are passionate about their goals. You have to be excited to get up in the morning? People with a passion are, and they're energized about what they are doing. You need to live and breathe what it is you want, and be passionately invested in both the journey and the goal.

4. Realism - Successful marketers are realistic. They have no room for denial, fantasy or fiction, and they hold themselves to high but realistic standards. They deal with the truth, since they recognize that nothing else will make their vision obtainable.

5. Flexible - Flexibility is important for success. The successful marketer realizes that he has a lot to learn and learns to enjoy the journey. They are open to new ideas and are willing to take chances and to be wrong. They recognize that mistakes are a natural part of the learning curve.

6. Take Risks. Risk taking and a willingness to get out of your comfort zone is crucial. You need to welcom the new and uncomfortable challenge and be prepared to take it on.

7. Have a Team. Success breads success and positive people encourage it. Only have people in your life that have the same positive goals that you do. These people will want you to succeed and will encourage you towards your goal We all need a cheering section, make sure yours is filled people will move with you toward your goal and encourage you when you get downhearted. Try to find people who have skills, talents and abilities that you do not and you will have a mutual support group.

8. Successful people take action. Just Do it! People who succeed don't just sit and think about what they want to do. They take meaningful, purposeful, directional action consistently and persistently. Every step they take puts them toward the outcome they're looking for. This is the most important trait. Russell Brunson of Dot Com Secrets fame has a motto READY, FIRE, AIM. To many good ideas die because the people who had them are still perfecting them.

9. Successful marketers manage their priorities. People who are consistent winners manage their challenges. They recognize what is priority number one and spend time on it.

10. Recognize that you are the most important resource you have and look after your mental, physical and emotional and spiritual health.

The right mindset will lead to success in any area you choose, ignoring these crucial factors for success will lead to failure.
