Building a business? start networking

By Jay NaPier

Each week Tom networking groups meet to share clients and grow each other's business. This is but one of the many secrets of success for many business owners. This weekly discipline allows the business owner to build a silent salesforce and expand their client base.

Networking is a way that many business owners have been able to quickly grow their business by simply sharing clients with other business owners. The process is really simple: each time you have the opportunity to recommend other people services you do it.

These weekly meetings consist of business card exchange and letting each other know home they've recommended their services to. These weekly meetings are a great opportunity to get to know one another and find out new things about each business.

Each time someone recommends you, this endorsement gives the client another reason to call you instead of another similar business. The weekly meeting allows you and the person referring you to exchange information so when you contact the potential new client you have an open door and a great relationship already established. This endorsement makes it easy for you to quickly grow your business.

If you could have 20 to 60 people carrying around your business card, recommending your products and services, wouldn't that make it the highest form of networking available to you? other networking groups are available, however this is the best option available.

Local chambers of commerce are also a great opportunity to network in your area. Monthly meetings are the perfect opportunity to meet new people, learn new things, and stay connected to the community where you do business

As you attend these networking events, be sure to bring plenty of business cards. At each event, make sure you get to know new people by sitting at different tables and reaching out to new members.

If you're looking for new business, networking is the way to go. You can quickly add more revenue to your business and even build a silent salesforce whose only compensation is for you to refer to them as well.
