4. Advertise Yourself. Advertising lets people know that you exist. This helps you get clients dramatically. So be sure to spend the time and money on advertising, it will be worth it. Build a website, network with other copywriters, and just find ways to get your name out there.

5. Remember That This is a Business. You don't want to take your work home with you, freelancing is supposed to help remove stress from your life! So make sure to only work during a set amount of hours. You should also make sure you are managing your money effectively. Keep up to date on tax reforms and laws. Know your rights as a small business owner.
